You’ll be forgiven if, while reading this, you ask, “What’s the catch?”
The Grahams get that a lot.
Doug and Alyssa Graham are the couple behind the eponymous roots-pop group, and 3Sirens is their “utopian” project. It’s part artistic vision, part record lab, part creative community, and part recording studio.
And it’s all free for those invited to be a part of it — including use of the East Nashville recording studio.
Inspired in part by Gertrude Stein, the American novelist who created a salon of like-minded thinkers in Paris in the early 1900s, 3Sirens is designed to grant artists a degree of creative freedom that they don’t always have when working in a studio with an eye on the clock to make it all work before their session’s paid time is up.
